16-01-2014Ethiopia hosts East African Regional Office of Astronomy for Development
The International Astronomical Union (IAU) has signed an agreement with partners in Ethiopia to host an East African regional node of the IAU Office of Astronomy for Development. This will be the first regional node to be established on the African continent and will be driven locally by the Ethiopian Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ethiopian Ministry of Education, the Ethiopian Space Science Society and the Addis Ababa University.
